ORAE began with a frustration many people share: skincare that promises an even tone, then irritates the very skin it claims to help.

ORAE was created because finding skincare that genuinely addresses hyperpigmentation in melanin-rich skin — without irritation — can be frustrating. Products were either too harsh, too vague, or clearly formulated with someone else in mind.

We wanted to build products that combine research, quality ingredients, and thoughtful formulation to help people feel more confident in their skin. That meant choosing actives with real cosmetic evidence behind them, using them at levels the skin can tolerate daily, and pairing them with barrier support rather than stripping agents.
